I’ve left Chicago once before. I studied abroad in Japan for a year. While I can’t say it was the best year of my life because I’ve had so many, I can say that it was the easiest lifestyle of my life. It was peaceful, it was pleasant, I lived like a king in a small Japanese-sized dorm room.
In two days I leave my hometown, the beautiful Chicago for Washington DC. I remember the days leading up to August 26, 2007 when I departed for Japan. It was a transition to my 1 year of study abroad. I could feel the nerves in body getting ready for a new adventure. Relocating to DC feels sureal: I don’t intend on coming home to Chicago so soon. I need to live in different cities, meet new people, and experience different things. If your life is boring, then try something new, do something different, take a risk.
I’ve blogged before but not as purposeful as now. This is the start of my new life. My post grad, post Japan, post Chicago life. I’m excited!!!
