A new month!
1. This is going to be a crazy month. I have friends coming into town, a million things to do at work, and I’m traveling to San Francisco for Valentine’s Day Weekend. And most important of all, the final season of Lost is starting.
2. I’ve become so gay. If it weren’t for my few straight guy friends in DC, I would never experience DC straight nightlife. Yesterday I went to a friend’s birthday party and I told him and his girlfriend “Sorry I didn’t dress up as nice, I figured I wouldn’t be meeting any boys”. Which is why I love going to gay bars, is it not? I love Lady Gaga, Project Runway, www.metroweekly.com/, Glee, Queer as Folk, and gay bars. But what does it mean to become more gay? What’s it like to be homosocialized? How is this different from my Chicago lifestyle? Hmmm…
3. What would it be like to move back home? I’ve been thinking about this one for a few days. I feel like I’ve done a lot of growing in my 5 months away from Chicago and how different would it be to live there again? I leave with a dedication to J.D. Salinger and quote from the Catcher in the Rye:
